This opportunity is in the fast-growing American Express Business Insights (BI) Europe team within Global Network Marketing & Information (GNMI). BI is a consulting and analytics team that offers our merchants and external clients powerful data and actionable insights to help businesses improve performance and capitalise on new growth opportunities.

Our unique core asset is our industry-leading global database of customer demographics and detailed spend behavior from the American Express network of 100 million cards conducting over 5 billion transactions annually in over 125 countries worldwide.

As a Senior Manager in BI, you will join a world class sales, consulting and analytical team in meeting aggressive business goals.

Partnering closely with Client Management as well as the Marketing Managers within the team, you will help drive integrated BI and Marketing plans, increased engagement and incremental revenue from customers. Responsibilities:
-

Deliver against individual and team targets for BI engagement with GMS merchants across all industries
-

Partner with Client Managers at a market, industry and individual level to identify, prioritise and engage new BI opportunities within their customer base
-

Validate and enhance the BI value proposition to drive focus in three key areas; consultation, acquisition/renegotiation support and network initiatives, with the overall mission of contributing to the GMS business objectives
-

Support external development of the BI brand through market / industry focused PR activity
-

Build and manage an effective sales and engagement pipeline working with key stakeholders including Marketing, Pricing, Client Management and Analytics
-

Communicate BI recommendations to senior merchant audiences, working with both technical and non-technical clients
-

Lead BI customer engagements and ensure client satisfaction, managing projects through scoping, production and delivery
-

Partner with a team of highly skilled analysts and programming technicians in developing information driven BI deliverables
-

Work with BI technical consultants to develop innovative ways to enhance our analytical approach and capability to support sales to new customers and industries

Support on-going development of the analytical framework to interrogate AXP Cardmember spend data to identify trends and Cardmember behaviour
-

Work in close collaboration with the Marketing team, to build integrated Merchant plans and strategies, driving actionable insights to be included in merchant Marketing activity.

Qualifications
-Proven results driver with strong experience in consulting sales / business development
-

Strong commercial mindset and acumen
-Strong communication skills and ability to present complex projects in a clear and powerful manner to a broad range of senior customer stakeholders
-

Strong record of customer engagement and pipeline management
-Experience in developing new business opportunities and proactivley identifying new clients
-

Ability to build and leverage relationships in a complex fast-moving matrix environment
-Ability to understand client needs, consultatively guide clients to select the relevant BI solution
-Ability to partner with a team of highly skilled analysts and programming technicians in developing insight-driven BI deliverables
-

Demonstrated success in building and leveraging strong relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders
-

Experience in the EMEA region preferred

Degree or equivalent required
-Fluent French essential
