An exciting opportunity to see the world as part of Total's Exploration and Production (E&P) team has arisen for senior engineers with strong experience and expertise in the required discipline. Our E&P team is active in 42 countries across the globe and current opportunities offer attractive, long-term contracts in various international locations on a family or rotational basis.

As Head of Maintenance Department you will have to:
Manages a Team up to 60 persons
Be involved in the preparation of the overall Maintenance Policy for the affiliate and ensures that the detailed preventive and predictive maintenance work programmes are executed in line with the Policy
Put in place General Maintenance Contracts and Specific Maintenance Contracts, manages the Contracts and ensures that Contractors are supervised. Prepares the KPI for Contractor evaluation. Performs or requests technical audits
Ensures that resources (competences, human resources, material¿) are in place for upcoming developments (maintenance engineering, contracted resources¿.)
Provides a support to the Site (trouble shooting in Mechanical, electrical, instruments, systems)
Be involved in the audit of mechanical equipment available on site. Be involved in the audits of local companies
Optimize maintenance plans, and be involved in the maintenance plans developed at pre-project stage of the studies managed by the affiliate
With the Head of Sections, prepare the Budget program and associated actions: problems identification, offers solutions, plans and supervises the execution, the costs and planning
Be involved in the optimization of the number and quality of equipments across the affiliate (usage rules, obsolescence, reliability assessment) and proposed solutions in order to cover the current and planned needs
Provide technical advice with the Methods Engineer in charge of the Requests of Modifications
Follow the technological evolution of the discipline and approve the maintenance and the update of the technical documentation. Ensures that TOTAL HQ rules and local affiliate rules are complied with
Manages the spare parts (wear parts, capital spare parts¿), and set up medium and long term maintenance strategy
Represent the Affiliate and the Group in national and international forums
Proposes R&D themes and ensures the completion and implementation


Required skills

Education
Will be holder of Chartered Engineer (A-levels + 5 years' study) or Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years' study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent
Will have a knowledge of the principles related to the process and equipment of oil and gas treatment installations
Will have a high level of awareness of Health and Safety issues and be able to encourage good practice in others
Will have a proven sense of responsibility and some people management experience and the ability to motivate, inspire and lead multi-disciplinary teams
Will be fluent in both spoken and written English
Experience
Will have 15 years' experience in the field of maintenance on oil installations
Will have a specific professional experience on turbo-machinery experience (heavy duty or aeroderivative turbo-machinery and gas compressors knowledge as well as water pumps
Will have a significant experience in CMIMS (SAP an advantage)
Skills
Will have the ability to lead and motivate multinational teams and to work independently while maintaining good relations with colleagues and others
Will be physical able to work on "offshore" installations in the climatic conditions of the site
Will be adept at working collaborating and proactively sharing information and expertise with your colleagues
Will be able to operate flexibly and sensitively in multi-cultural teams and local environments
Will be able and keen to travel the World and work in a variety of countries
