Account Executive for Public Sector
Microsoft have two exciting open positions within the Public Sector in Central Government and Key Government. As an Account Executive your focus is on articulating the value of Microsoft as an enterprise solution provider and demonstrating Microsoft’s commitment to helping public sector organizations solve their challenges and develop their business. Primary Job Functions: You will be responsible for achieving revenue and scorecard goals by selling Microsoft technologies to government customers. This includes working at the executive level and leveraging key partners, which might be specific to public sector. Specifically defining, documenting, and executing an account plan to achieve business objectives and propose solutions that address our customers’ highest priority business issues. The key to success in this position is a clear vision and attention to execution and engagement. The successful candidate must be able to perform excellent relationship management. Establishing strong executive relationships with corporate IT and lines of businesses based on specific knowledge on government organizations needs is critical in this role. The candidate will lead a virtual account team, with different profiles and orchestrate the strategy and pipeline across the team. You will be part of a core-team of eight, including five Account Executives. The open positions are in Central Government and Key Government. Candidate Profile: • Solid selling experience in selling to public sector customers. • Experience in relation management on executive levels as well as manager level. • Experience in being a trusted advisor and a visual resource in the costumer organization – at all levels. • Proven record of effective Account Management, including Account and Territory Planning, Opportunity Management, and Business Management Excellence. • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships on executive and manager level. • Ability to effectively engage business decision makers and articulate business value. • Listening to customers (as opposed to telling/selling), probing for business process pains and opportunities, in an effort to meet or exceed their expectations. • Excellent & effective verbal and written communication skills. • Organized and analytical. • Knowledge of Microsoft product line and business model. • Negotiation and presentation experience in a partner environment. • Fluent in English and Danish (spoken/written). • At least Bachelor’s Degree is required • A team player with an open and positive attitude eager to work in a sales organization with big challenges and high level of energy. Some travel must be anticipated. Location is at the Microsoft office in Hellerup.
