An exciting opportunity to see the world as part of Total's Exploration and Production (E&P) team has arisen for senior engineers with strong experience and expertise in the required discipline. Our E&P team is active in 42 countries across the globe and current opportunities offer attractive, long-term contracts in various international locations on a family or rotational basis. As a Safety engineer, you will be responsible for providing Safety engineering support, advice and expertise to other entities across all sites. You will have to: - Provide expertise to subsidiaries (Field Operations, Drilling, Well Services and Logistics) and projects (Facilities Engineering, Project activities) in all disciplines involved in the performance of safe designs (risk assessment and mitigation in engineering and operation phases). - Provide assistance in terms of resources and methodology to development studies and projects for conducting mandatory technical audits. - Representing HSE entity within development or project comities - Ensure a constant development of the HSE rules and repository in coordination with other disciplines (field operations, process...) - Instruct and answer the derogations to HSE prescriptions and referential. |
Required skills
| Education |
| Will hold a generalist or specialized diploma (environment, safety, process, mechanics, hydraulic...). Will have a high level of awareness of Health and Safety issues and be able to encourage good practice in others. Will be fluent in both spoken and written English. |
| Experience |
| Will have significant experience of working in the oil and gas industry, preferably within Exploration and Production. Will have a 5 years experience in HSE positions for construction and/or operation (Surface operations ¿ Drilling ¿ Construction). Will have some people management experience and the ability to motivate, inspire and lead multi-disciplinary teams. |
