Location: Microsoft Development Center Copenhagen, Denmark Microsoft Dynamics NAV, the highly successful ERM (Enterprise Resource Management) / CRM / SCM software product package with more than 1 million users and a highly vibrant partner community, continues its accelerated growth. In order to meet our aggressive strategy, Dynamics NAV needs to strengthen the Localization area with special focus on Regulatory features, and most likely in Financial Management area. As a Program Manager on the Application team, your main goal will be to participate in growing the functional richness of the Finance Management. Program Managers work on one or more feature areas and are leaders within his or her own feature team. This leadership may come from deep understanding about a specific technical area, or it may come from demonstrated leadership in an engineering practice and by having deep ERM / financial market and functional understanding. This PM role will be responsible for covering regulatory requirements from multiple countries, so country specific knowledge of accounting rules, taxes and practices as well as international financial accounting will be a significant advantage. Work related to this part of the job may require some travel. You will be a key person in the product development cycle working on all phases from initial planning through specification until delivery of the final product. For each development project you will be part of a feature team and work in close cooperation with the team’s developers, technical writers and testers. You will be responsible for defining key customer scenarios, technical possibilities and for collecting feedback from customers, partners and analysts, and you should be able to combine all this information into high quality specifications suitable for design, development and test. Throughout the project you will, as Program Manager, facilitate the team and make sure the team stays focused on delivering the right functionality for our customers. By the end of a development project, you will be responsible for educating and promoting the new functionality both internally and externally. You will be part of the Dynamics NAV Program Management Team - A strong team that includes Program Managers with extensive expertise within each of their product areas. In this role, you can will be joining a team of experienced program managers with experience in local and global accounting and financial management methods and standards. To be successful in this role you need deep knowledge of the finance business processes. You have a strong technical knowledge making it possible for you to specify the required functionality. Ideally you also know Dynamics NAV and the ERM granules. In addition you need to have previous 5 or more years of experience driving software implementations from inception to market place/implementation, able to create product features and scenarios, drive all phases of product development, drive the schedule and tasks to meet given milestones and work effectively with all departments in the development cycle. This position requires international travel (estimated time 10%) and strong communication skills in English. Working knowledge of other European languages is an advantage. Job Responsibilities: - Own and define the key scenarios and requirements for one or more feature areas/projects. - Responsibility for delivering on the tax and statutory reporting requirements for multiple countries/one or more feature areas, helping NAV customers to stay compliant. - Create high-quality specifications and designs. - Create and implement accurate plans, keeping clear view of the priorities. - Drive and participate in all phases of the product development cycle and thereby ensure that the functionality enters the Dynamics NAV product - Timely handle support requests and continuously enhance the product based on market feedback. - Continuously assure that the offering meets requirements of partners and customers and provide a clear functional roadmap. - Drive schedule and all tasks required to meet the product life cycle and given milestones. - Work effectively with Engineering, Marketing and Sales organizations. - Create open and effective communication channels that help align multiple feature area/project teams across functions and regions. Skills Required: - Industry and practical knowledge within Financial Management - Relevant business education, supplemented with technical training and skills from Software Industry - or vice versa - We expect the right candidate to have 5+ years relevant experience - Documented project management experience - preferably from delivering ERP software solutions. - Capacity and interest to learn new technologies and able to understand in depth technologies. Knowledge of VS.NET, SQL and other key Microsoft technologies. - Able to define and visualize prototypes upfront to evaluate and demonstrate required functionality. - Ability to maintain the focus, be a facilitator, and make impartial decisions that will further the team and project goals - Ability to be the driver of changes. - Ability to listen and understand the needs of our partners, customers, and colleagues and turn them into practical solutions. - Ability to communicate and promote product functionality effectively to partners and customers.
