Role Summary/Purpose

   We are currently seeking to recruit a Manager, Accounting/Controlling (100%) who will strengthen our Accounting and Controlling team. In this position you’ll be responsible for the monthly financial close processes and you’ll coordinate US reporting for the GE Capital Switzerland AG. Outside the regular processes, you will be expected to drive simplification and productivity initiatives and perform ad hoc analysis in the area of the Accounting and Controlling.
Essential Responsibilities    
Execute monthly close for the company under US-GAAP standards
Prepare regular reports to internal and external authorities (FED- & SEC-Reporting)
Coordinate and independently prepare financial analyses, valuations and account reconciliations
Lead 3rd party team of 1 on-site and 4 off-shore accounting consultants located in India
Coordinate and reconcile treasury activities between mother company and local entity
As a business SOX-leader responsible for the annual review and completeness of relevant documentation
Contact person for the internal and external auditors as well as GE-internal departments (CH + international)
Support annual income tax filing process and communication to Swiss VAT authorities
Cooperation and leadership of projects together with take-over of various tasks in the area of Financial accounting for GE Capital Switzerland AG

Qualifications/Requirements    

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance/Accounting with 5+ years’ experience, preferable in commercial finance
• Execution and results driven: sets and meets stretched targets and deadlines in dynamic environment
• Expert in SEC, FED reporting and US GAAP accounting standards
• Expertise in CTA and FX calculation and functionality
• Experienced team management
• Fluent in English and German; Knowledge of Indian culture
• Expertise in Swiss GAAP FER, income tax and VAT
• Strong internal GE network within the Finance community is a plus
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and coordination skills accompanied by efficient communication
• Passionate about driving process management for simplification and automation
• Solid Excel and Oracle Financials knowledge
