With market demand increasing rapidly, you will play an important part in optimising the technical solutions to gain the maximum benefit from the global subsea industry. This stimulating role will require advanced Subsea experience and skills related to design, testing and utilisation of Installation / Work-Over Control systems with Tubing Hanger Landing strings & Subsea Xmas tree systems. Experience with Vertical Xmas tree systems is essential; experience with Horizontal systems is beneficial. You will be working with advanced subsea systems with TOTAL being one of the leaders in the world in deploying new subsea technology. You will work within the Drilling departments Well Engineering team supporting Pre-Project/Front End Engineering & Development studies; you will give support to subsea projects and support technology development. You will be providing technical expertise and team-oriented interpersonal skills to technically challenging deepwater subsea activities globally. Your main work tasks will be: - Draft or approve technical specifications for equipment and methods for your speciality; - Draft or validate the specifications of equipments, approve the proposed technical choices and participate in tender evaluations; - Maintain permanent contact with projects and subsidiaries - providing technical system support during the project execution phases of design, manufacture, testing & installation; - Provide support to the specialists detached in the projects and the subsidiaries he is responsible for; - Participate in technical reviews and audits; - Prepare and argue the answers to the requests of dispensations against Company specifications and rules; - Provide assistance to R&D programs and execute technology development programs; - Act as a technical authority for Subsea Wellhead, XT & IWOCs systems. |
Required skills
| Education |
| You have minimum HND Engineering degree or equivalent. You have a high level of awareness of Health & Safety issues, along with the ability to encourage conscientiousness in others where health and safety is concerned. It is required you are well fluent in both spoken and written English |
| Experience |
| A
minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience working with the functional
design and operation of Subsea Xmas Tree & IWOCs systems is needed. Furthermore, it is strongly appreciated that you have worked for an operating company or a major supplier/contractor. |
| Skills |
| You have strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written; Also you are able to operate flexibly and sensitively in multi-cultural teams and local environments to manage the completion of local work phases. In addition, knowledge of the relevant environment and openness to new construction methods is an advantage; You are able and keen to travel the World and live in a variety of countries; Moreover, you are eager to develop your career in one of the largest and most progressive Oil & Gas companies in the World. |
